The Fiat Tipo 16V was my passion from 1994 when I bought a 6 month old example for £8600 with 14,000 miles on the clock. In 2005 I moved to Canada and sold the Tipo with over 100,000 miles on the clock to Torque Italia. Hopefully it still lives on somewhere. During my ownership I loved the car and spent whatever was necessary to keep it on the road including three engines.
I took the Fiat Coupe to Canada with me. I lived in Calgary and enjoyed driving it around the Rocky Mountains for 5 years. In January 2011 I moved to Houston in Texas. I had to put it into storage in Canada because it can't be imported into the USA. In November 2023 the Fiat was over 25 years old. This meant it no longer had to meet the current DOT or EPA standards. I therefore imported it into the USA.
