During the summer of 1999 Andrew's cam belt went at 52000 miles. The car had a full service history and to make matter wosre he had been aware of this problem on Tipo's for some time. The car had even been booked in for an early change three days later
Andrew has had fitted a new 'powerflow' stainless steel exhaust system costing £235. The difference is very noticable, although fuel consumption has suffered slightly. The exhaust is custom made on the car and removes the catalytic converter (his is a 92 on a J plate so does not require the catalytic converter). The sound is deep and rumbly but not too boy racer!
He has also had 195/50R15 tyres fitted and they make a noticable difference. Next on his list for the spring of 2000 is a chip, K&N filter, Sparco lower suspension and a rolling road set up. Possibly new intergrale style Compomotive wheels.
